This week was a hodge podge of lots of events. As you can see from the picture below we started off the week right-at Hatch Family Chocolates. And. It.Was.Heavenly. I had heard a lot of buzz about it, and apparently they had or have a reality show but I really did hear good things about the quality of chocolate. We each got a chocolate shake and then shared a mint dark chocolate covered oreo and a dark chocolate bourbon truffle. Words do not explain. So below feel free to enjoy a picture of my two very favorite things...my man and lots of chocolate.



I'm getting toward the end of my to-do list for the wedding. I wanted to have past wedding photos hanging in an area of where we will have our wedding cake. The topper of the cake will be my great-grandparents cake topper (a tiny bride and groom) that they used at their wedding on June 20, 1928. Almost 84 years to the day of our wedding. I like the idea of incorporating our history with our future, and our families, at the wedding. So hopefully I'm doing it in a way that makes sense.



And with the end of my wedding to-do list that means it's getting toward the end of David's very last semester before graduation. He got the music his friend Nate Asman has been so generously been working with him on for his film so we ran up to the school to see how they synced together. It turned out great!


Then it was a birthday bonanza. Monday was David's father's birthday and Tuesday was his brother Dustin's birthday. Pam coordinated a surprise birthday dinner at Mekong Cafe in Midvale and by all accounts...it was a successful surprise. Unfortunately this is the best shot I could get of the birthday boy.


And for some sinful indulgence a delightful German Chocolate cake!

I just loved how adorable this shot was. Avery was just too quick for my focus.



And then Tuesday we went to Elizabeth and Daniel's for a little dinner and relaxation. We got an drop-in from the birthday boy and his lady, Bailey. So I got a quick shot of them playing with Avery and reading her a book. The rest of us were just lounging around and eating pizza...not too camera worthy.


All in all it was a fun family-filled week!
